Magical sundays

logo

everything I said before about the long wait?!? absolutely worth it.

There’s something magical about NFL Sundays. I’m just glad I’m off tomorrow and don’t need to get up because there is no sleep on my horizon.

I have a never say die/never give up attitude about my Giants that usually gets me thwapped on Twitter. Tonight, it paid off. This team showed the heart they talked about. Eli/offense could have given up after the pick, but they buckled down and will have a wonderful flight home.

NEVER SAY DIE

The only downside of football…

Waiting all day for SNF!

I love football and have for more than 20 years, but the one downside? The time between games *especially* when my Giants are playing at 8pm. The day is interminable and the week between games after a loss (or four!) seems never ending. Anyone else struggle with this?

It has been a mediocre season for the Giants on the field due to injuries but what has impressed me is the young talent. Herzlich, Paysinger, Amukamara, Ballard, Cruz…. capped off by Blackburn’s return (with an INT!) last week. Epitomizing the spirit behind next man up. While I’m still holding out hope for this year, the young kids give me hope for next year.

Studs And Duds Week 14 Playoffs!

logo

This is a big week for fantasy players. Playoffs begin! If you are in the playoffs who to start and who to sit this week is all you are thinking about.

So here is some help from GGF

Studs

QB Matt Stafford (Det) Most teams that are in the playoffs have great QBs like Brady, Rodgers, Brees. However, if you have Matt Stafford you better be starting him. The Lions are playing the Vikings this week, and if you watched the Broncos-Vikings game last week and saw how Tim Tebow threw up and down the field, I think it is fair to say Stafford might do the same.

RB Reggie Bush (Miami) Now I hate to say this but, the Dolphins are playing a pour run defense this weekend the Philadelphia Eagles. You might get a great flex RB in Bush this weekend to get you to the next round of the playoffs.

WR Plaxico Burress (Jets)This season Buress has had 5 TDs, and 3 of those TD passes have been at home. So this week is a good time to start Plaxico. I think he will come through for fantasy team playing the Chiefs of Sunday this should be a big win for the Jets.

DUDS

QB Mike Vick (Eagles) Again I don’t like saying this (but number one rule in fantasy is don’t pick with your heart). Yes he is back this week, and if you are luck enough to STILL  be in the playoffs with Vick on your bench stick to the QB who got you into the playoffs.

RB Roy Helu (Redskins) I had him this season, and he stinks! Don’t think anything will change this weekend.

WR Brandon Lloyd (Rams) Lloyd has some how put up good fantasy numbers this season, but after last week I am not sure you should start him in the playoffs! QB AJ Feeley is hurt, and Tim Brandstater might be the starting QB this week in St. Louis the Rams will not be passing much if that is what happens.

Good Luck Playoff Teams!!

Heisman Finalist Announced.

Heisman Trophy!

I don’t watch much of college football, but maybe I should to know who to pick up for sleepers for my fantasy team. However, every December I do tune it to watch the Heisman award ceremony to see which college player will receive this coveted award.

The only guy I know this year is Andrew Luck. ..”Will Lose For Luck” is what NFL fans are saying who want this guy on their team next year!

The ceremony takes place this Saturday Dec 10th in NYC. Here is the list of finalist.

Joining Staford’s QB Andrew Luck is Baylor’s  QB Robert Griffin III.

Alabama RB Trent Richardson

LSU Defensive Back Tyrann Mathieu

Wisconsin’s RB Montee Ball

Good Luck to all the Finalist….Who do you think will win this years Heisman?

While Brady is At Work….

Tom Brady and the Patriots are hoping for a Super Bowl year, since the AFC is really not that great it is very possible.

While Brady was at work this week hosting the Colts and got the win, wife and son were enjoying the weekend at the park.

How cute is this picture of little Benjamin! Ben is getting so big and super cute! Gisele is just the hottest mommy at the playground!

The Brady Bunch!
